בשבועות הקרובים יקיים המרכז שתי פעילויות הקשורות לזיכרון והכרה.
הכרה הדדית בזיכרון ובעיקר בסבל יכולה לעזור לקידום שלום צודק ופיוס בין שני העמים.

 האירוע הראשון: "זיכרון ושלום"
יתקיים ב 13 למאי, יום שלישי, בשעה 20:00 באולם היונה הלבנה בנווה שלום

בערב זה נארח את האב אמיל שופני מנצרת ואת נאזיר מג'אלי עיתונאי מנצרת.
השניים יציגו בפנינו את היוזמה של קבוצת פלשתינים אזרחי ישראל לנסוע ולבקר באתר מחנה המוות באושוויץ.

מתוך הצהרה לעיתונות:

 "בזמנים אלו בהם אנו חיים וכואבים את כאבנו וכאב העם שלנו,אנו פותחים ביוזמה שמטרתה לרדת לעומקו של הכאב של אלו בצד השני, יחידים וקבוצות.  אין באפשרות בני שני העמים לנטוש את דרך השנאה ושפיכות הדמים אלא אם יבינו את הכאב שמוביל את הצד השני לקו העימות".

הנכם מוזמנים להקשיב לרעיונות ולהשתתף בדיון שנקיים אחרי הצגת הדברים. לצורך הדיון נקיים פנל בו ישתתפו אנשים המיצגים מחשבות שונות לגבי היוזמה.

 האירוע השני: "זיכרון והכרה" יתקיים בשבת ה 7 ליוני באוהל האירועים בנווה שלום
האירוע בשיתוף עם עמותת "זוכרות" ועמותת שלושת הכפרים

באירוע זה נציין את הרס שלושת הכפרים (ב 1967):עימוואס,יאלו ובית נובא.
הכפרים שכנו באזור לטרון בשטח המוכר בשם:"פרק קנדה".

     בתוכנית :

• התכנסות בנווה שלום לשמיעת עדויות,וצפייה בתמונות.

• נסיעה לשטח הכפרים,סיור במקום ועריכת טקס ובו יוצב שילוט המציין את זיכרון הרס הכפרים.

In the coming weeks we will have two activities connected to remembrance and ‎recognition. Mutual recognition of each other’s narrative of suffering could help and ‎promote a just peace and reconciliation between our peoples.‎

The first event: "Memory for Peace" will take place on Tuesday ‎May 13 at 20:00 in the White Dove Hall in Neve Shalom ~ Wahat ‎al-Salam

Our guests Father Emil Shoufani and Nazir M’gali, a journalist, both from Nazareth, will ‎present the initiative of a group of Palestinians, citizens of Israel, to visit Auschwitz ‎concentration camp.‎

From their statement to the press:‎

‎“At a time in which we are living our pain and the pain of our people, we launch an ‎initiative with the aim of feeling with all our being, the pain of the other side, as ‎individuals and as groups. It is not possible for the two peoples to abandon the road of ‎hostility and bloodshed unless they understand and comprehend the pain that led the ‎other side to the line of confrontation”.‎

You are most welcome to participate both in the presentation and the discussion that will ‎follow.‎

The second event: "Memory and Recognition” will take place ‎Saturday June 7, in the auditorium of Neve Shalom ~ ‎Wahat al-Salam.‎

This event is performed together with “Zochrot” and the Association of the ‎Three Villages

In this event we will commemorate the destruction of the three villages (1967) Imwas ‎‎(Emmaus), Yalu and Beit Nuba. The villages were situated in the area of Latrun that is ‎known by the name of "Canada Park".‎

In the program:‎

Gathering in Neve Shalom ~ Wahat al-Salam, hearing some witnesses and ‎watching slides.‎ ‎

Driving to the area of the villages, making a tour and a ceremony. During ‎the ceremony we intend to put up a sign to commemorate the three ‎villages.‎

A more detailed program will be sent closer to the event.‎
